
Around 1990, I found a special plant in a block of seedlings at our main farm. We have since patented the plant and trademarked the name. The tree is a dwarf, evergreen, dense-growing Magnolia virginiana var. Australis. Its flowers are creamy-white with a lemon scent. Our Magnolia requires little or no pruning, and has no disease or pest problems we have notice in around 18 years of watching this plant. We named it Sweet Thing Magnolia. As far as we know, it is the only evergreen Sweetbay Magnolia with these characteristics that is easily propagated......
